Hello! My name is Jonathan Serna, AKA the Jona Gaze.
I fell in love with taking photos 15 years ago, and haven’t stopped since. For work, I’m primarily a natural history and outdoor adventure photographer, which largely informs my style when it comes to my portraiture.
2024 marks the restart of my portrait photography interest. The aim for my portraiture is to expose natural beauty, both in visual aesthetic and in physical action.
I love capturing a person in their element—that means letting them play in the environments where they feel most comfortable, be with the things that enhance their lives, and do what makes them happiest.
You may be looking to hire me, but I see this work as a collaboration.
A photography booking with me looks like this:
Preparation | I’ll send you details (styling, poses, location) about the session so you know what to expect before we start.
Photo Session | Once we get on location I’ll crack some jokes with you to break the ice, get to know you a little more, and hype you up immensely throughout the entire day.
Post Processing & Delivery | After a few editing sessions, I will create a gallery of select photos.
I’m deliberate as I can be with my work so I can ensure that I have a good time in my pursuit to portray you to perfection.
